API Rate Limits
Rate limits for the Alpha Analyst API — shared per account, per minute and per day. 429 responses include Retry-After.
Limits depend on your API plan. They apply across all REST endpoints on your account—one pool, not a separate budget per route.
Buckets
| What | Effect |
|---|---|
| Organization | Org-issued keys share one counter for the org. |
| User | Personal keys share one counter for that user. |
| Per minute | Short burst cap; resets each minute. |
| Per day | Daily cap; resets on a rolling day window. |
Each call counts toward both the minute and day limits when both apply. Exact numbers are on your plan; if you are unsure, check your API subscription in the portal or account settings.
When you hit a limit
429 with error.code rate_limited and a Retry-After header (seconds to wait):
