Forex API
Latest listed currency spots — ISO codes, pair quotes, and amount conversion. Same rates Fundamentals uses. Not a historical FX book.
Forex is the latest spot book we store for listed currency pairs. Use it for ISO codes we can quote, a pair (EURUSD), or an amount conversion. Fundamentals and Financials Standardized use the same spots when you pass currency.
Latest spot, not period-end FX
There is no as_of on the request. Fundamentals currency= uses these same latest warehouse spots — not a dated rate for the fiscal period-end.
Coverage
- When. Latest warehouse spots only. There is no
as_ofrequest parameter and no period-end historical rate.as_ofon the response is the warehouse version timestamp of the quote we stored. - Which pairs. Listed pairs in that book. Unlisted pairs convert via USD when both legs have a USD cross (
via=USDon Convert). Unknown pairs and unknown crosses are 404. - Not covered. Intraday candles, a live streaming feed, forward curves, a dated rate for a fiscal period-end (Fundamentals conversion is also latest spot), crypto as a first-class market (a code appears only if it is on a listed pair).

What to call
| You have | Call |
|---|---|
| You need the ISO codes we can quote | Forex Currencies |
A pair such as EURUSD or EUR/USD | Forex Quotes |
| An amount in one currency, a target ISO code | Forex Convert |

Price is quote per one base (EURUSD ≈ dollars per euro). A listed pair or its inverse is used first; otherwise the USD cross.
Pair and currency codes
Pass pairs as EURUSD or EUR/USD (hyphens and underscores are stripped). ISO codes on base, quote, from_currency, to_currency, and Fundamentals currency are case-insensitive (eur, EUR). Some warehouse aliases normalize (for example GBX → GBP).
Unknown pairs and unknown crosses are 404. Unresolved company ids on Fundamentals stay 404 on those tools — they do not belong here.
