Financials Standardized API
Nested income, balance, and cash-flow tables for a company — annual, quarter, or TTM, with SEC filing citations on FY and quarter columns.
Financials delivers presentation-ready statement tables — income, balance, and cash flow — with the same nested layout as the site, including filing citations on fiscal-year and quarter columns when we can match a 10-K or 10-Q.
Three tables — income, balance, cash flow — plus the line catalog (parent, level, sign). Same layout as Financials on the site. Pick Fundamentals instead if you want an arbitrary bag of metric ids.
You can search these ids on Coverage — Financials metrics. That table is a snapshot and can be behind the API. For the current list, call Financials Metrics.
id is the same handle as Entity Reference. See Ids you can send. Unresolved ids are 404.
Coverage
Same warehouse as Fundamentals: standardized lines for the listing you resolve, fy / quarter / ttm, history up to 100 periods (omit limit for all we have in range). FY and quarter columns cite the matching 10-K, 10-Q, 20-F, or 40-F when we can match it (filing + filing_match). LTM/TTM columns are not cited. This is not as-reported XBRL layout and not Japan statements.

What to call
| You have | Call |
|---|---|
| You need line ids, parent, level, or sign | Financials Metrics |
| A full income statement | Income Statement |
| A full balance sheet | Balance Sheet |
| A full cash-flow statement | Cash Flow Statement |
| Product or geography revenue that ties to the total | Revenue Segments |
| A custom set of ratios and lines | Fundamentals |
Nesting (+ / −)
Each line has metric, parent, level, and sign.
levelis 0-based indent. Children sit under a parent.signis+or-when the line contributes to the parent roll-up (cost of revenue is-under revenue). Totals have no sign.row_typeisnormal,subtotal, ortotal.include_when=nonzerolines are omitted when every period is zero or null (for example G&A when it is not broken out).
Cash-flow net income is cashflowNetIncome so it does not collide with income-statement netIncome.
Periods, LTM, growth, currency
periodicity is one of fy (default), quarter, or ttm.
include_ltm=true is valid only with fy. It appends a Last-12M column when the latest TTM quarter is not Q4 of the newest fiscal year (same rule as the site).
period_start / period_end (YYYY-MM-DD) and limit (latest N, cap 100) work together. Omit limit for all available history up to that cap.
growth=period adds a parallel growth array on each row (adjacent percent change). growth=yoy uses the same fiscal period in the prior year. L12M columns are skipped for yoy.
currency converts money lines at latest warehouse spot. Omit it to keep reporting currency. See Forex and Fundamentals Overview.
Filing citations
FY and quarter columns include filing (slim Document) and filing_match (exact, date, heuristic, or none). The cite is the 10-K, 10-Q, 20-F, or 40-F we matched to that period.
filing.backlink_url is the filing viewer on this site (/app/filing/{cik}/{accession}). filing.source_document_url is the SEC exhibit. filing.source_filing_url is the SEC filing index ({accession}-index.html). Pass filing.document_id to Document Reference as id. Tagged facts for that accession are XBRL Filing Facts.
LTM and TTM columns are not cited (filing_match is none). A miss on the filing index does not fail the statement.
filing_match is exact when period-end and an amount confirm, date when the report date is close, heuristic when we ranked a statement form, and none when there is no filing.
Revenue Segments is the product and geography cut of revenue for the same company. entity is the Entity item. periodicity is fy or quarter; omit it for both. Each period has period (FY, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4), fiscal_year, currency, date (period end), and period_start. filing.source_document_url is the SEC exhibit for that accession. A line is included only when the members add up to the consolidated total in that currency. A client incentive or elimination can be negative. members[].name drops a trailing Member and spaces capitals, leaving a run of capitals together (IPhone, United States).
Response shape
{ entity, statement, periodicity, include_ltm, currency, count, columns, rows }.
columns[i] is a period. rows[].values[i] is that period’s amount. rows[].growth[i] is present when growth is requested.
