Precision Keyword Retrieval Inside Open Documents
The Document Search sub-feature allows you to perform highly targeted keyword searches within the currently open filing, file, or document. Unlike the main Document Search feature, which scans the entire database, this function focuses solely on the document you are viewing.
How to Execute a Document Search
This feature is designed for rapid navigation and content verification inside the document reader interface.
- Action: Click the magnifying glass icon located within the document reader toolbar (usually in the top-right of the document view).
- Input: Enter the keyword or keyword string you are looking for (e.g., "material weakness," "environmental litigation").
- Mechanism: The system performs a powerful, indexed search within that specific document—it is far more robust than a simple browser "Ctrl+F" command.
Navigating Mentions
Once the search is executed, the results are presented with a direct, navigable link to each instance of the keyword.
- Mentions List: The search tool will generate a list of all instances of the keyword or phrase found in the document.
- Direct Navigation: Clicking on any item in this list will instantly scroll the document reader to the exact location of that mention. This functions similarly to clicking a citation in the AI Chat, providing immediate context.
