1 Freeport Provides Third-Quarter 2026 Operational Update Third-quarter 2026 consolidated copper and gold production approximated expectations Third-quarter 2026 consolidated copper sales expected to approximate July estimates; consolidated gold sales impacted by timing in Indonesia Mining operations in the Grasberg minerals district proceeding in line with expectations Operations at PTFI’s smelter re-commenced in late August 2026 Positioned for future growth PHOENIX, AZ, October 2, 2026 - Freeport (NYSE: FCX) today provided an update on its third-quarter 2026 operating results. CONSOLIDATED RESULTS Third-quarter 2026 consolidated copper production of approximately 830 million pounds was in line with expectations, with slightly better results from international operations offsetting slightly lower production in the U.S. Third-quarter 2026 consolidated gold production of approximately 230 thousand ounces approximated expectations. Changes in the timing of gold sales at PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) resulted in the deferral of approximately 60 thousand ounces of refined gold from third-quarter 2026 to fourth-quarter 2026. FCX expects its consolidated copper sales for third-quarter 2026 to approximate its July 2026 estimate of 750 million pounds. FCX expects consolidated gold sales for third-quarter 2026 to approximate 100 thousand ounces, which is below its July 2026 estimate reflecting the impact of deferred gold sales. Consolidated unit net cash costs (net of by-product credits and excluding idle facility and restoration costs associated with the phased ramp-up of the Grasberg Block Cave underground mine) for third-quarter 2026 are currently expected to be approximately 5% above the July 2026 estimate of $2.00 per pound of copper, principally reflecting lower by-product credits resulting from the impact of deferred gold sales. FCX estimates its third-quarter 2026 consolidated average realized price to exceed $6.50 per pound of copper. The U.S. operations experienced lower than planned operating rates in third-quarter 2026 associated with an increased frequency of localized flooding, power outages and strong winds. In Indonesia, abnormally dry weather conditions have been generally favorable for mining but present various challenges in the milling process which are being actively managed with limited impact to date.{N4163160.1} 2 GRASBERG UPDATE Significant progress continued for the phased ramp-up of the Grasberg Block Cave underground mine. During third-quarter 2026, mill throughput averaged approximately 140,000 metric tons of ore per day (approximating 67% of normalized rates prior to the September 2025 incident), including approximately 70,000 metric tons of ore per day from the Grasberg Block Cave. Upgrades to the material handling system at the Grasberg Block Cave haulage level are progressing toward completion by early 2027, and preparations continue for the targeted restart of production from Production Block 1S by mid-2027. FCX continues to expect to reach 80% of capacity in mid-2027 and approach full capacity by year-end 2027. PTFI’s smelter in Eastern Java, which was temporarily suspended following the September 2025 Grasberg incident, successfully re-commenced operations in late August 2026. Ramp-up activities are proceeding in line with expectations. A recent video highlighting the operation is available on fcx.com. PTFI has combined smelting capacity, including PT Smelting, to produce up to approximately 800,000 metric tons of cathode per annum and a precious metals refinery capable of processing all of PTFI’s gold production. FUTURE GROWTH FCX is strongly positioned for future growth opportunities with ongoing progress on the Grasberg recovery, innovation-led growth and potential organic brownfield development opportunities. During third-quarter 2026, FCX continued to progress its America’s Copper ChampionTM growth plans, including advancing projects to scale its innovative leach initiative and finalizing work to reach an investment decision by year-end 2026 to double the capacity of its Bagdad operation in Northwest Arizona. In addition, FCX continues to advance the regulatory process for a potential transformative expansion of its El Abra mine in Chile. FCX plans to release its third-quarter 2026 earnings results before the market opens on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, and will hold a conference call to discuss the results at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Under the terms of the MOU, the parties agreed to the following: • PTFI’s special mining business license (IUPK) will be amended to provide for a life of resource extension of operating rights. • PTFI will increase support for communities in Papua, including financial support for a new hospital and two medical educational facilities. • PTFI will increase exploration spending and advance studies to identify and develop long-term resources and expansion opportunities. • PTFI will continue to prioritize domestic downstreaming through local sales of refined copper, precious metals, sulfuric acid and other products. PTFI will also be positioned to broaden its marketing of refined copper to the United States (U.S.) on market terms should the U.S. require additional supplies of copper. • FCX will transfer in 2041 a 12% share interest in PTFI to government interests at no cost, provided the acquiring party will reimburse FCX for its pro-rata costs incurred using book value for investments that benefit the post-2041 period. FCX will maintain its current ownership interest in PTFI of 48.76% through 2041 and hold approximately 37% beginning in 2042. • The existing governance and operating structure, and terms of the existing shareholder agreement, the IUPK and other agreements in effect will continue over the life of the resource. Richard C. Adkerson, Chairman of the Board, and Kathleen Quirk, President and Chief Executive Officer, said: “We value our long-standing partnership with the Indonesia government, the people of Indonesia and Papua, and the mutual trust that has been built over many years. The Grasberg operations have provided substantial benefits to all stakeholders over its six-decade history, and this extension will provide opportunities to continue to build substantial value for all stakeholders in one of the world’s most significant copper and gold deposits.” The extension of operating rights and other agreed terms are subject to the Indonesia government’s issuance of an amended IUPK. 1 Freeport Provides Update on Restart Plans for Grasberg Minerals District PHOENIX, AZ, November 18, 2025 - Freeport (NYSE: FCX) announced today plans to restore large-scale production from PT Freeport Indonesia’s (PTFI) Grasberg operations in Central Papua, Indonesia. As previously reported, PTFI commenced production from the unaffected Deep Mill Level Zone and Big Gossan underground mines in late October 2025. Remediation activities are being advanced to prepare for a phased restart and ramp-up of the Grasberg Block Cave underground mine beginning in second-quarter 2026. Kathleen Quirk, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “Our team is committed to restoring large-scale, low-cost production at Grasberg in a safe, efficient and responsible manner. We have incorporated the learnings from the recent tragic incident into our future plans and are implementing several initiatives to address the conditions that led to the incident. We will continue to prioritize safety above all else as we restore operations and work to provide benefits to our many stakeholders.” Under the phased restart and ramp-up plans, FCX expects PTFI’s production of copper and gold from the Grasberg minerals district in 2026 to be similar to estimated 2025 volumes, approximating 1.0 billion pounds of copper and 0.9 million ounces of gold. FCX expects PTFI’s production will increase throughout 2026 and 2027 with average annual production of approximately 1.6 billion pounds of copper and 1.3 million ounces of gold for the three-year period 2027-2029. A conference call with securities analysts will be held today at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time to review the incident, discuss future operating plans and provide an update on FCX’s global business and ongoing initiatives to grow supplies of copper to meet increasing demand for this critical metal. Interested parties can listen to the live webcast and view accompanying slides at fcx.com. A replay will be available through Friday, December 19, 2025. 1 Freeport Provides Update on PT Freeport Indonesia Operations PHOENIX, AZ, October 5, 2025 - Freeport (NYSE: FCX) announced today an update on the search for the remaining five team members who were missing following the previously reported September 8 mud rush incident at the Grasberg Block Cave mine in Indonesia. On October 5, 2025, PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) located the five missing team members who regrettably were found deceased. The Freeport organization extends its deepest condolences to the families of these individuals and continues to mourn the loss of two team members found deceased on September 20, 2025. Richard C. Adkerson, Chairman of the Board, and Kathleen Quirk, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are grieving for our seven coworkers lost in this tragic incident and extend our sincere condolences to the families who lost loved ones. We appreciate the extraordinary efforts of the emergency response team who worked tirelessly to locate our coworkers. We are committed to investigating the cause of the incident and to taking all steps necessary to prevent recurrence.” During the incident, a sudden rush of approximately 800,000 metric tons of wet material entered the mine from the former Grasberg open pit and traveled rapidly to multiple mine levels, including the service level of the mine where the seven team members were conducting development activities. To prioritize the search, mining operations in the Grasberg minerals district have been temporarily suspended since September 8, as previously reported. PTFI is progressing an investigation to identify the cause of this incident, which is unprecedented in PTFI’s multi-decade history of block cave mining operations. The investigation team includes external experts and will address root cause analysis and recommendations to safeguard against future occurrences. PTFI expects the investigation to be completed by year-end 2025. PTFI is working closely with Indonesian government authorities to review the incident and future operating plans. On September 24, 2025, FCX provided a preliminary assessment of potential production impacts from this incident. There have been no updates to this assessment. Further information will be provided as the investigation progresses, and damage assessments are completed. 1 FCX Announces Agreement for Life of Resource Extension of Operating Rights in Grasberg Minerals District PHOENIX, AZ, February 18, 2026 - Freeport (NYSE: FCX) announced today that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indonesia government for a life of resource extension of operating rights for PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) in the Grasberg minerals district.
