INVESTOR DAY 2026 September 29, 2026I N V E S T O R D A Y Safe Harbor This presentation and the accompanying oral presentation have been prepared by MongoDB, Inc. (“MongoDB” or the “company”) for informational purposes only and not for any other purpose. Nothing contained in this presentation is, or should be construed as, a recommendation, promise or representation by the presenter or MongoDB or any officer, director, employee, agent or advisor of MongoDB. This presentation does not purport to be all-inclusive or to contain all of the information you may desire. Information provided in this presentation speaks only as of the date hereof, unless otherwise indicated. This presentation contains “forward-looking statements” within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, including but not limited to statements regarding our financial outlook, financial guidance for fiscal 2027 and beyond, long-term financial targets, product development, business strategy and plans, market trends and market size and opportunities, our ability to continue to increase revenue from our Atlas platform, the recently announced leadership transition and the expected financial impact of AI adoption and new product innovations. These forward-looking statements include, but are not limited to, plans, objectives, expectations and intentions and other statements contained in this presentation that are not historical facts and statements, and may be identified by words such as “anticipate,” “believe,” “continue,” “could,” “estimate,” “expect,” “intend,” “may,” “plan,” “project,” “will,” “would” or the negative or plural of these words or similar expressions or variations. These forward-looking statements reflect our current views about our plans, intentions, expectations, strategies and prospects, which are based on the information currently available to us and on assumptions we have made. Although we believe that our plans, intentions, expectations, strategies and prospects as reflected in or suggested by those forward-looking statements are reasonable, we can give no assurance that the plans, intentions, expectations or strategies will be attained or achieved. In particular, the development, release, and timing of any features or functionality described for MongoDB products remains at MongoDB's sole discretion. Product roadmaps do not represent a commitment, promise or legal obligation to deliver any material, code, or functionality and you should not rely on them to make your purchase decisions. Furthermore, actual results may differ materially from those described in the forward-looking statements and are subject to a variety of assumptions, uncertainties, risks and factors that are beyond our control including, without limitation: the effects of ongoing geopolitical instability, including the conflict in Iran, the unrest in Mexico, the conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Hamas and recent events in Venezuela, on our business and future operating results; economic downturns and/or the effects of, changes in trade policies, rising interest rates, inflation and volatility in the global economy and financial markets on our business and future operating results; our potential failure to meet publicly announced guidance or other expectations about our business and future operating results; reputational harm or other adverse consequences resulting from use of AI and ML in our product offerings and internal operations if they do not produce the desired benefits; our limited operating history; our history of losses; failure of our platform to satisfy customer demands; the effects of increased competition; our investments in new products and our ability to introduce new features, services or enhancements, including AI and ML, for both traditional and emerging use cases; social, ethical, regulatory and security issues relating to the use of new and evolving technologies, such as artificial intelligence, in our offerings or partnerships; our ability to effectively expand our sales and marketing organization; our ability to continue to build and maintain credibility with the developer community; our ability to add new customers or increase sales to our existing customers; our ability to maintain, protect, enforce and enhance our intellectual property; our ability to continue to increase revenue from our Atlas platform; the effects of social, ethical and regulatory issues relating to the use of new and evolving technologies, such as AI and ML, in our offerings or partnerships; the growth and expansion of the market for database products and our ability to penetrate that market; our ability to integrate acquired businesses and technologies successfully or achieve the expected benefits of such acquisitions; our ability to work with our strategic partners effectively; our ability to maintain the security of our software and adequately address privacy concerns; our ability to manage our growth effectively and successfully recruit and retain additional highly-qualified personnel; risks associated with the recently announced leadership transition; and the price volatility of our common stock. These and other risks and uncertainties are more fully described in our filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), including under the section entitled “Risk Factors” in our Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended January 31, 2026 and our Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended July 31, 2026 and in other filings and reports we may file from time to time with the SEC. This presentation includes market and industry data and forecasts that the company has derived from independent consultant reports, publicly available information, various industry publications, other published industry sources, and its internal data and estimates. Independent consultant reports, industry publications and other published industry sources generally indicate that the information contained therein was obtained from sources believed to be reliable. Although the company believes that these third-party sources are reliable, it does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of this information, and the company has not independently verified this information. The company's internal data and estimates are based upon information obtained from trade and business organizations and other contacts in the markets in which the company operates and management's understanding of industry conditions. Although the company believes that such information is reliable, it has not had this information verified by any independent sources. In addition, the information contained in this presentation is as of the date hereof (except where otherwise indicated), and the company has no obligation to update such information, including in the event that such information becomes inaccurate or if estimates change. Subsequent materials may be provided by or on behalf of the company in its discretion and such information may supplement, modify or supersede the information in these materials. Neither the company, nor any of its respective affiliates, advisors or representatives shall have any liability whatsoever (in negligence or otherwise) for any loss or damage howsoever arising from any use of these materials or their contents or otherwise arising in connection with these materials. This presentation includes the following financial measures defined as non-GAAP financial measures by the SEC: non-GAAP income from operations, non-GAAP operating margin, free cash flow and free cash flow conversion. Non-GAAP income from operations and non-GAAP operating margin exclude expenses associated with stock-based compensation including employer payroll taxes upon the vesting and exercising of stock-based awards and expenses related to stock appreciation rights previously issued to our employees in China, amortization of intangible assets for the acquired technology and acquired customer relationships associated with prior acquisitions, certain acquisition-related costs and other, including due diligence costs, professional fees in connection with an acquisition and certain integration-related expenses, and restructuring costs associated with a formal restructuring plan that are primarily related to workforce reductions. The Company excludes these expenses because they are not reflective of ordinary course ongoing business and operating results. Free cash flow represents net cash from/used in operating activities, less capital expenditures, principal payments of finance lease liabilities and capitalized software development costs, if any. MongoDB uses free cash flow to understand and evaluate its liquidity and to generate future operating plans. The exclusion of capital expenditures, principal payments of finance lease liabilities and amounts capitalized for software development facilitates comparisons of MongoDB's liquidity on a period-to-period basis and excludes items that it does not consider to be indicative of its liquidity. MongoDB believes that free cash flow is a measure of liquidity that provides useful information to investors in understanding and evaluating the strength of its liquidity and future ability to generate cash that can be used for strategic opportunities or investing in its business in the same manner as MongoDB's management and board of directors. MongoDB uses these non-GAAP financial measures internally in analyzing its financial results and believes they are useful to investors, as a supplement to GAAP measures, in evaluating MongoDB's ongoing operational performance. MongoDB believes that the use of these non-GAAP financial measures provides an additional tool for investors to use in evaluating ongoing operating results and trends and in comparing its financial results with other companies in MongoDB's industry, many of which may present similar non-GAAP financial measures to investors. Non-GAAP financial measures have limitations as an analytical tool and should not be considered in isolation from, or as a substitute for, financial information prepared in accordance with GAAP. In particular, other companies may report non-GAAP income from operations, non-GAAP operating margin, free cash flow and free cash flow conversion or similarly titled measures but calculate them differently, which reduces their usefulness as comparative measures. Investors are encouraged to review the reconciliation of these non-GAAP financial measures to their most directly comparable GAAP financial measures, as presented below. This presentation and any future presentations containing such non-GAAP reconciliations can also be found on the Investor Relations page of MongoDB's website at https://investors.mongodb.com. With respect to our forward-looking non-GAAP financial measures, we have not provided a reconciliation of such measures to the most directly comparable GAAP measures for long-term future guidance beyond FY 2027 because certain items are out of our control or cannot be reasonably predicted without unreasonable efforts due to the high variability, complexity and low visibility with respect to the charges excluded from these non-GAAP measures, in particular stock-based compensation expense. Except as required by law, we undertake no obligation to update any forward-looking statements included in this presentation as a result of new information, future events, changes in expectations or otherwise. Nothing in this presentation is, and should not be construed as, an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any securities.I N V E S T O R D A Y AGENDA 1. Welcome 2. Non-GAAP income from operations and non-GAAP operating margin exclude expenses associated with stock-based compensation including employer payroll taxes upon the vesting and exercising of stock-based awards and expenses related to stock appreciation rights previously issued to our employees in China, amortization of intangible assets for the acquired technology and acquired customer relationships associated with prior acquisitions, certain acquisition-related costs and other, including due diligence costs, professional fees in connection with an acquisition and certain integration-related expenses, legal costs and settlement fees incurred in connection with non-ordinary course litigation, particularly ongoing securities litigation, and restructuring costs associated with a formal restructuring plan that are primarily related to workforce reductions. With respect to our forward-looking non-GAAP financial measures, we have not provided a reconciliation of (i) non-GAAP free cash flow conversion to the most directly comparable GAAP measure for FY 2027 guidance or (ii) all forward-looking non-GAAP financial measures included in this presentation to the most directly comparable GAAP measures for long-term future guidance beyond FY 2027, because certain items are out of our control or cannot be reasonably predicted without unreasonable efforts due to the high variability, complexity and low visibility with respect to the charges excluded from these non-GAAP measures, in particular stock-based compensation expense. Except as required by law, we undertake no obligation to update any forward-looking statements included in this presentation as a result of new information, future events, changes in expectations or otherwise. Nothing in this presentation is, and should not be construed as, an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any securities.I N V E S T O R D A Y FINANCIAL UPDATE Mike Berry Chief Financial OfficerI N V E S T O R D A Y 112 Themes of the discussion today 01 Strong track record of following through on commitments Strong track record of following through on commitments 02 Growth is real and durable The growth is real and durable Revenue growth drives margin expansion03 AI and new product innovations are growth vectors04 Long-term model reflects confidence in growth and operating leverage05I N V E S T O R D A Y 01 HITTING OUR COMMITMENTSI N V E S T O R D A Y 114 We are delivering on our commitments Atlas Growth: 20%+ 28.7% ~27% (1) Current guidance are forward looking statements as of September 1, 2026. The exclusion of capital expenditures, principal payments of finance lease liabilities and amounts capitalized for software development facilitates comparisons of MongoDB’s liquidity on a period-to-period basis and excludes items that it does not consider to be indicative of its liquidity. MongoDB believes that free cash flow is a measure of liquidity that provides useful information to investors in understanding and evaluating the strength of its liquidity and future ability to generate cash that can be used for strategic opportunities or investing in its business in the same manner as MongoDB’s management and board of directors. Free cash flow conversion is defined as free cash flow divided by non-GAAP income from operations. MongoDB uses these non-GAAP financial measures internally in analyzing its financial results and believes they are useful to investors, as a supplement to GAAP measures, in evaluating MongoDB’s ongoing operational performance. MongoDB believes that the use of these non-GAAP financial measures provides an additional tool for investors to use in evaluating ongoing operating results and trends and in comparing its financial results with other companies in MongoDB’s industry, many of which may present similar non-GAAP financial measures to investors. Non-GAAP financial measures have limitations as an analytical tool and should not be considered in isolation from, or as a substitute for, financial information prepared in accordance with GAAP. In particular, other companies may report non-GAAP income from operations, non-GAAP operating margin and free cash flow or similarly titled measures but calculate them differently, which reduces their usefulness as comparative measures. Investors are encouraged to review the reconciliation of these non-GAAP financial measures to their most directly comparable GAAP financial measures, as presented below. Operating margin and free cash flow conversion are non-GAAP. Reconciliations of non-GAAP operating margin to the most directly comparable GAAP measures for long-term guidance beyond FY 2027 are not available without unreasonable efforts on a forward-looking basis due to the high variability, complexity and low visibility with respect to the charges excluded from this non-GAAP measure and the lack of a timeline for the achievement of said long-term financial model. Reconciliations of non-GAAP free cash flow conversion to the most directly comparable GAAP measure are not available without unreasonable efforts on a forward-looking basis, including for FY 2027 guidance and the long-term financial targets, due to the high variability, complexity and low visibility with respect to the items excluded from free cash flow. This presentation and any future presentations containing such non-GAAP reconciliations can also be found on the Investor Relations page of MongoDB’s website at https://investors.mongodb.com. Non-GAAP Financial MeasuresI N V E S T O R D A Y We calculate annualized recurring revenue (“ARR”) to help us measure our subscription revenue performance. ARR includes the revenue we expect to receive from our customers over the following 12 months based on contractual commitments and, in the case of direct sales customers of Atlas, by annualizing the prior 90 days of their actual usage of Atlas, assuming no increases or reductions in their subscriptions or usage. For all other customers of our self-serve products, we calculate ARR by annualizing the prior 30 days of their actual usage of such products, assuming no increases or reductions in usage. ARR excludes professional services. Enterprise Advanced + Other annualized recurring revenue (“ARR”) includes the revenue we expect to receive from our customers over the following 12 months based on contractual commitments for subscription products excluding Atlas. MongoDB Announces Leadership Transition Chirantan “CJ” Desai Appointed President and Chief Executive Officer Dev Ittycheria to Remain on the Board of Directors Q3 FY26 Results Expected Above the High-End of Guidance Ranges Driven by Strength in Atlas NEW YORK, November 3, 2025 -- MongoDB, Inc. (NASDAQ: MDB) today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Chirantan “CJ” Desai as President and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), effective November 10, 2025. Desai succeeds Dev Ittycheria, who, after 11 years leading MongoDB, has decided to retire from a full-time operating role. Ittycheria will remain on MongoDB’s Board and serve as an advisor to Desai to ensure a seamless transition and continued execution of the Company’s long-term strategy. The appointment follows a comprehensive CEO search supported by an executive search firm to identify a next-generation leader with deep experience in cloud infrastructure, AI, enterprise software, and product innovation – someone equipped to guide the Company on its continued journey towards durable, profitable growth. “CJ brings an exceptional blend of product and engineering leadership, strong go-to-market execution, and firsthand experience scaling some of the world’s most transformative software companies,” said Tom Killalea, Chairman of the MongoDB Board of Directors. “From driving organic revenue growth at ServiceNow to innovating for the enterprise at Cloudflare, CJ has consistently demonstrated the ability to lead at scale. His deep understanding and early deployment of AI in the enterprise will be invaluable as MongoDB continues to deliver for its customers. CJ has the unanimous support of MongoDB’s Board, and we are thrilled to welcome a leader of his caliber as our next President and CEO.” Desai joins MongoDB as a respected technology leader with over 25 years of experience pioneering innovative technology solutions in cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, cybersecurity, AI, and large-scale SaaS platforms. Most recently, Desai served as President of Product and Engineering at Cloudflare, where he drove product strategy and execution during a period of strong revenue growth and stock performance for the company. Prior to Cloudflare, Desai served as President and Chief Operating Officer at ServiceNow, where he helped organically scale the company from $1.5 billion to over $10 billion in annualized revenue. Desai has also previously held executive roles at EMC and Symantec, and he began his career with Oracle as a key member of the team that launched the company’s first cloud service. “MongoDB has long been the partner of choice for building applications that transform businesses, and now it is uniquely positioned to power the next wave of AI-driven applications,” said CJ Desai, MongoDB’s incoming President and CEO. “My directive is clear: by staying relentlessly close to customers, delivering category-defining products, and executing at scale, we can seize the enormous opportunities ahead. I’m grateful for the foundation that Dev and the executive team have built and am honored to take the baton from Dev to guide MongoDB through its next phase of innovation and growth.”“On behalf of the Board, I’d like to thank Dev for his extraordinary leadership and enduring contributions during his long tenure at MongoDB,” said Killalea. “Over the past eleven years, he led one of the great growth stories in enterprise software, transforming MongoDB from an early-stage disruptor into a global technology leader. Dev’s strategic vision, operational discipline, and ability to attract world-class talent have set the company on a path of lasting success. He built not just a great business, but a culture that inspires people to do the best work of their careers. The Board is profoundly grateful for his leadership and his continued partnership.” “It has been the privilege of a lifetime to lead MongoDB since 2014, and I could not be prouder of what we have accomplished together,” said Dev Ittycheria, outgoing President and CEO of MongoDB. “Through relentless innovation, discipline, and teamwork, we transformed MongoDB into a global software leader with an enduring culture and a strong track record of execution. I am immensely grateful to our nearly 60,000 customers who have trusted and believed in us, to the incredible employees whose talent and dedication built this company into what it is today, and to our investors for their unwavering support and conviction in our mission. I have complete confidence in CJ’s leadership, experience, and judgment, and I look forward to supporting him and the executive team as they continue to build MongoDB into an iconic technology company.” Business Outlook Based on preliminary, unaudited results, the Company expects to exceed the high end of the provided third quarter fiscal year 2026 guidance for revenue, non-GAAP income from operations, and non-GAAP earnings per share, driven by continued strength in Atlas. MongoDB intends to report its finalized financial results for Q3 FY2026 on December 1, 2025. Non-GAAP gross profit excludes expenses associated with stock-based compensation. Cash conversion is defined as operating cash flow divided by non-GAAP income from operations. In particular, other companies may report non-GAAP gross profit, non-GAAP income from operations, non-GAAP operating margin and free cash flow or similarly titled measures but calculate them differently, which reduces their usefulness as comparative measures. Investors are encouraged to review the reconciliation of these non-GAAP financial measures to their most directly comparable GAAP financial measures, as presented below. Operating margin and free cash flow conversion are non-GAAP and reconciliations of non-GAAP operating margin and non-GAAP free cash flow conversion to the most directly comparable GAAP measures are not available without unreasonable efforts on a forward-looking basis due to the high variability, complexity and low visibility with respect to the charges excluded from these non-GAAP measures and the lack of a timeline for the achievement of said long-term financial model. This presentation and any future presentations containing such non-GAAP reconciliations can also be found on the Investor Relations page of MongoDB’s website at https://investors.mongodb.com.Definitions We calculate annualized recurring revenue (“ARR”) and annualized monthly recurring revenue (“MRR”) to help us measure our subscription revenue performance. ARR includes the revenue we expect to receive from our customers over the following 12 months based on contractual commitments and, in the case of Direct Sales Customers of MongoDB Atlas, by annualizing the prior 90 days of their actual usage of MongoDB Atlas, assuming no increases or reductions in their subscriptions or usage. For all other customers of our self-serve products, we calculate annualized MRR by annualizing the prior 30 days of their actual usage of such products, assuming no increases or reductions in usage. ARR and annualized MRR exclude professional services. When we refer to ARR in this presentation, we are referring to the combination of annualized recurring revenue (“ARR”) and annualized monthly recurring revenue (“MRR”) unless otherwise noted. Non-Atlas (Enterprise Advanced + Other) annualized recurring revenue (“ARR”) includes the revenue we expect to receive from our customers over the following 12 months based on contractual commitments for subscription products excluding Atlas.GAAP to Non-GAAP Reconciliations
